Turkish Campaign Part II

Turkey was neutral during WW II. This campaign explores the possibilities if
it became involved in the war. This campaign is entirely fictional (except
for some big-picture stuff in Part I)

If you're wondering which campaign to play - here's the basic premise. Fw-190s
and Spit Vs are based for air defense around Istanbul. Tomahawks and CW-21s
(converted from CW-22 trainers for the purposes of this campaign) are based in eastern
Turkey, where they oppose the British in northern Iraq. The British fly Mohawks
and Buffaloes. The Turks use their Hurricanes for ground attack. The British
fly Hurricanes and Beaufighters from Cyprus. The Royal Navy has Sea Gladiators on escort carriers
and Martlets, but not Seafires or Sea Hurricanes. The Germans have sent a few Bf-110s
as heavy fighters to Istanbul.

The campaign is set in late May/early June 1941

Inspired by John Keegan's essay "How Hitler Could Have Won the War" in the book What If?

Huge thanks to Antifiriz for trying to correct my complete ignorance of all things Turkish

Also thanks to Ehood, phaethon, Deathsight, and Jades

BillyPryce, wheelsup_cavu, and swede94 helped with Part II

Thanks to Marsei13(BG) for posting Caldrail's second Turkish skin pack

I've got to make a change to mexchiwa's campaign canon (in case anyone cares). Instead of Moelders
getting Dalton out of the concentration camp - it was Auchwin. I think that makes the story
	more interesting.

Based partly info provided by gekho at ww2aircraft.net, orko_8 at http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?64829-Turkish-Air-Force-Order-of-Battle-1939-1945,
	pics from tayyareci.com, and turkeyswar.com/army/medals.htm

I included a new start menu background image/medals/ranks for the Missions/Campaign/NN file,
so I'd back up your old ones, and if you don't want your old ones to change don't
use mine. I based mine on Chris Blair's and TedStryker's start menus, so if it
looks like I stole anything from them that's why.

The Turkish medals include some from the Ottoman Empire and some from the 1970s, so they aren't historically
	accurate.

Some aircraft may appear in the campaign earlier than they did in reality, but all Turkish
aircraft are planes Turkey actually flew, except for hacks (P.11 for P.24, CW-21 for CW-22)

The B5N2 is a hack for the Vultee V-11 and Fairey Battle

I use the Crimea maps - obviously these have some shortcomings when representing Turkey.
For one thing, the Bosporous when going past Istanbul is as wide as a major river-
bridges cross it. And I'm not saying my version of Istanbul looks anything like
	the real city.

Since Part II features missions over Cyprus, I used the MTO Crete map to stand in for that.

All characters are fictional, except for the ones you've heard of

I want to apologize for the extremely sketchy briefings for some of the missions. It was a shortcut
I had to take when making some many simultaneous campaigns. You may not want to think about the background
too much - a Turk fighting against Turkey?

Huge thanks to TD for continuing to make the game great, and M4T. And thanks to all the modders (though I didn't
use your work for this campaign)

The missions with "nn" at the end of the name have at least one neutral flight, so don't play them
as single missions, or else your computer may lock up. Also, don't edit them in
full mission builder, because the neutral flight may be changed to a red or blue one.
You can creat neutral flights in by changing the name to "NoNe01" in the .mis file (eg replace
every instance of "Squad01" with "NoNe01" to make that flight neutral). Thanks to Extreme_One for
discovering this. Haven't worked out all the variables, but apparently red aircraft will attack NN, blue won't and AAA (both sides) won't.
Think NN will attack anything, not sure about None ground units, AAA.

If you like this campaign, here are my others:

	For stock Il-2:
		Watson's Whizzers
		Warbird Recovery and Extraction Co
		The La La Land Fires
		Paper Planes
		Pillars of Hercules

	For modded Il-2:
		Jetman Campaign

Some of these will explain some fictional characters.

Feel free to use anything from this campaign. If anyone wants to modify it for mods or anything,
	they have my blessing

TROUBLESHOOTING: I wasn't able to test all the campaigns all the way through. If you have problems
playing the campaigns (eg, it won't load), it may be because a mission is listed in the campaign file
but isn't in the campaign folder. Just delete the offending mission name from the campaign mission list.
